Gas Fee · network fee

The fee paid to process a transaction on blockchain networks such as Ethereum.

A gas fee is the amount users pay to have a transaction processed or a smart contract executed by the network's validators or miners. This cost can swing widely depending on how congested the network is at that moment.

During high-traffic periods, fees rise sharply; for this reason, many users delay non-urgent transactions to less congested hours.
