Liquidity · liquidity

How easily an asset can be bought or sold without significantly affecting its price.

High liquidity means a significant volume of an asset can be bought or sold without its price shifting noticeably; this trait is usually seen in markets with high trading volume.

Trading in low-liquidity assets carries more risk, since exiting the trade at the right time and at a fair price can become difficult.
