A cryptocurrency whose value is pegged to a stable asset such as the U.S. dollar, like Tether (USDT).

Stablecoins are designed to reduce price volatility and usually keep their value close to a fixed reference asset by holding dollar, gold, or other reserves, or through algorithmic mechanisms.

This tool is commonly used for quickly moving capital between markets or temporarily taking shelter from sharp volatility in the cryptocurrency market.
